YAAP is governed by a board responsible for overseeing all organizational strategic operations and policy development. This board is composed of Five members, including a chair, a secretary who also acts as the executive director, a treasurer, a gender representative, and one additional member. The board operates under established rules and procedures that guide its responsibilities and convenes quarterly to assess various aspects of the organization, such as strategic direction, policies, annual work plans, and budgets. The chair of the board is elected for a term of three years.
